In the novel, before the farm got took over, all the animals rebelled against Mr. Jones the owner of the farm. The pigs: Napoleon, Squealer and Snowball (one of the early leaders who later got kicked out) then took control of the farm and created a utopian society. With the two pigs (Napoleon and Squealer) in leadership, they slowly took advantages of the other animals as they think of themselves more superior. The two pigs started living in the house, sleeping on the beds, drinking whiskey, and changed the rules of the farm for their own benefits. The pigs suited their stereotypical character as they didn’t give any contribution to the farm. Napoleon, as the main dictator, made sure that all the animals continue to have trust in him. He used Boxer, one of the most loyal, simple minded and hardworking animals in the farm as a puppet, so that the other animals would imitate and help Napoleon get supporters. By the end of the novel, the pigs wear clothes and walk on two legs.
